Meet Dr. Ron Ritucci
I love being an orthodontist! What can be better than helping people look and feel better about themselves? I have met and gotten to know many unique and interesting patients over my 28 years of practicing. I enjoy watching patients mature from children into young adults over the course of treatment and retention. I am fortunate enough to be currently treating the children of patients I treated years ago when I first entered practice.
Education
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgetown University in 1975, graduating magna cum laude and having the honor of induction into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. I continued on to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, earning my Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 1979.
I completed a 26 month residency and received my Orthodontic Certification from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1981.
Continuing Education
I attend yearly continuing education courses at professional society conventions sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists, and attend monthly lectures sponsored by my local and state dental association. I subscribe to a monthly Orthodontic Reviews literature review service which keeps me up to date on any advances published around the world. I also utilize an on-line study club to interact with other practitioners around the country.

Outside the Office
I live in the Woodbury area with my wife of 30 years, Valerie, our son, Tommy, and two West Highland terriers, Coconut and Peppermint. When I'm not practicing orthodontics I enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, and gardening. I love adventure travel and have been to areas as diverse as Iceland and Brazil. My son and I also love rock concerts and attend the Ultra Music Festival in Miami every year.
